Update on Hulu.com iPhone App

So I’m fed up waiting on a hulu app for the iPhone, darn it; Joost came out several weeks ago and although I like it; I’m just caught up on Gilligans Island.

I want a hulu app for the iPhone.

I sent an email to Hulu.com’s media department and below is what I received from them

Thanks for the email and your interest in Hulu. On background, I can
tell you that Hulu is passionate about bringing users premium
programming when, where and how they want it. While Hulu currently is a
free ad-supported and online service intended for the PC, Hulu listens
closely to user feedback to help develop its plans for future versions
of the service.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Now does that answer my question? You can read this several ways:

  1. It says, NO we are not making an iPhone app. OR
  2. We are coming out with an iPhone app soon, just read between the lines.

I can’t wait to see.

MacWorld in January…rumor of an Apple partnership coming

Keep in mind this is not a rumor site in anyway, but if big news comes up we will talk about it. MacRumors is reporting that Steve Jobs will be announcing a partnership at the MacWorld Expo in January. Now the question is who is the partnership with?

Three things come to mind:

  • A partnership with the struggling XM/Sirius, in my opinion it’s a much needed app for the iPhone.
  • A partnership with NBC to bring Hulu.com to the iPhone like they did with YouTube. 
  • A new carrier like Sprint or Verizon
This is all wishfull thinking on my part, but we’ll see come this January.
