iClear for the iPod Touch - Protect and Admire

I’ve always had a problem with covering up such a beautiful looking product like the iPod with some ugly case. But then you don’t want to leave your iPod exposed to everything to just scratch up to no end. I made the mistake on my last iPod of purchasing a leather case with an unfinished inside, I believe it was a Belkin case. On my first day I scratched the front of it from just slipping it into the case.

So when I bought the iPod touch I wanted a case that would protect the unit while I was using it and didn’t cover up the unit. I looked at several of the silicone cases but didn’t like the colors.

Then I came across a crystal clear plastic case called the iClear from my favorite iPod accessory maker Griffin. The iClear is perfect it has a very sleek form factor that just covers the touch and being clear you can see the iPod Touch at all times. I also came with a screen protector that I did not use because I dropped it on the floor and once that happens you never get the particles off of it. That didn’t bother me much because whatever Apple uses for the screen, it just does not scratch.

You simply place your iPod Touch on the back panel and snap the front panel to it. It adds a little thickness to the Touch but it’s not bad. The extra thickness does become a problem if you want to use the Touch in an external speaker system; so you will have to remove the case for that.

I purchased the iClear at Wal-Mart for $14.99 but you can get it from any iPod retailer or the Apple store.
