Fly Cast Mobile App for the iPod Touch/iPhone is GREAT!!!

Ok I found a reason to cancel my Sirius subscription. I have been begging for a Sirius App for my iPod Touch; but Sirius has done nothing to fulfill my wishes, they have forced me to look somewhere else.

Now I have reviewed Pandora, AOL Radio, and I use Last.fm, but none offer the great selection of talk radio that I need to fill my day while I work here in front of my computer. When the iPhone/iPod Touch only supported the web based apps, there was a great one called Fly Tunes, it’s a great web app, but with the new installed apps; it was just left behind. But they have now released an installable App to in the iTunes app store called Fly Cast Mobile and it rocks, with over 200 channels including sports, news, weather, music, health, comedy and so much more. This app really competes with satellite radio.

You can search by artist, pause live music, save to favorites, and if you come upon a song you don’t like jump ahead to the next one. Another really cool feature is the separate catagory for stations optimized to use on your 3G network.

Fly Cast has some preset major cities so you can jump in and check weather or listen to your favorite cities local stations. I really like the interface, ease of use and huge selection. Fly Cast makes it to my first page of icons.

We have to give it 5 thumbs up.
